From September 13 to 17, 2021; we celebrated the 3rd world patient safety day, an official WHO campaign for all healthcare system stakeholders to unite and improve patient safety globally. The MESE conducted awareness creating social media campaigns and radio shows focusing on the theme by WHO for this years' patient safety day.
Lighting iconic monuments, landmarks, and public places in orange is the global campaign’s signature mark. During 1st safety day, more than 84 cities and 2nd safety day, more than 134 cities across the world lit their iconic monuments, landmarks, and public places in the color orange in a show of solidarity.
On September 17, 2021; Nib International Bank S.C has joined this global campaign by lighting up its iconic headquarters located in the heart of Addis Ababa, in the color orange. As this special event was the first of its kind in Ethiopia, it will put Ethiopia on the global list and map of world patient safety day.
