Simon Readhead KC became the Society’s President on 1st October 2022. He took over the role from Prof. Harry Zeitlin & will serve as a president for 2 years.
He delivered his Presidential Address on Medicine and Law – “Little Territory in Common” at the Society’s first meeting of the Autumn term on 13th October.
Mr. Simon read law at Lincoln College Oxford and was called to the bar in 1979. He is joint Head of Chambers at Deka Chambers.
He is also a Master of the Bench of the Middle Temple and authorized to sit as a judge in the criminal, civil and family courts.
His practice includes clinical and other professional liability claims, indemnity claims, personal injury claims including industrial accidents and occupational diseases, product liability and health and safety claims and public and administrative law.
Simon is recognized as a Tier / Band 1 King’s Counsel in the current editions of both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners legal directories. He has previously been shortlisted for Queen’s Counsel of the Year in the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury category at the Legal 500 Awards and is also listed in the current edition of The Best Lawyers in the United Kingdom.
